Aug 2017: JB Carr Munster Final
Our JB Carr team are back in action today in the second leg of the Munster final against Dungarvan. After the terrific 3-2 win in Dungarvan last week, the action is sure to be exciting again this evening. Brian and Niall have selected the same team as last week. The matches get underway at 3pm and all support is welcome. Best of luck to the team.

Aug 2017: Joker Now at €1450 Paul McCarthy wins Consolation Prize
Number drawn on the 13/08/2017 was 27 which revealed the Ten of diamonds and there was no winner. There was a draw for a consolation prize of €20 and the winner was Paul McCarthy. Next draw is Sunday August 20th at 1.00pm , please support your club draw - Thank You.

Aug 2017: Juniors Bow Out In Fred Daly
Our Juniors lost their Fred Daly match against Douglas in Cobh today 3-2. While it was disappointing to lose, it was a great performance considering Douglas were a much more experienced team with their highest handicapped player playing off 4.8 . Our panel consisted of Seamus Shealy, Colm Dorgan, Richard Shanahan , Jeff Ennis and Eoin Griffin and Diarmuid Doherty . Well done to Michael Wren and all the boys for progressing this far and representing the club so well .

Aug 2017: Fr PJ's Farewell Day
Reminder that the timesheet is open for Fr PJ O'Driscoll Farewell Day this Friday, August 11. There are prizes galore for Gents, Ladies and Visitors, as well as Seniors Ladies and Senior Gents scramble, and the social mixed nine-hole competition. Proceeds from the day go to the Cope Foundation. Food and Music will be provided from 8pm. Entry just €5 for members and visitors.

Aug 2017: JB Carr Munster Final
After taking a number of significant scalps, Cobh, Youghal, Doneraile, Mitchelstown & Ballybunnion, our JB Carr team will take on Dungarvan in the Munster Final over the next two weeks. The away leg takes place on Wednesday next the 9th at 3pm in Dungarvan with the return leg in Fermoy on Tuesday the 15th. Your support is needed, ”be there or be square”.

Jul 2017: Fermoy hosts Munster Finals of Fred Daly / Junior Foursomes
Fermoy Golf Club hosts the Munster Finals of the Fred Daly and Junior Foursomes on Tuesday and Wednesday the 1st and 2nd of August. This is an opportunity to see some fantastic players in action, as there will be Irish internationals and inter-provincial golfers playing on both days. The following clubs will be represented: Tramore, Castletroy, Waterford Castle, Limerick, Muskerry, Ballybunion and Fota Golf Club. Head greenkeeper Tomás O’Flynn and the course staff have the course in fantastic condition, and have received some very favourable feedback from visiting clubs practicing over the past few weeks. If you feel like seeing some great golfers in action, call up for a visit next week.

Breaking news from Ballybunion. Our JB Care team have reached the Munster final after a dramatic victory by Colm Murphy and Denis Crowley on the 19th. Congrats to Brian, Niall and the team.

Jul 2017: Lady Captain's (Elizabeth Geany) Day 9/7/17
No practice allowed on the course after close of play on Friday July 7th for Lady Captain's Prize, penalty disqualification. On Sunday July 9th there will be a draw held at 2.00 pm for a 9 hole non-qualifying ladies singles competition and at 3.00 pm there will be a 9 hole scramble for beginners. All lady members who do not wish to play in the 18 hole competition are welcome to play and there is no requirement to have 3 cards already in for either of these competitions.
